This artwork is special to me as it is my first time painting a photograph that I have taken at Whiffin Spit, Sooke. I walk the spit regularly and always admire the vast array of birds and wildlife, but most especially the crows. I wanted to create a larger-than-life crow with a confident attitude that boasts colorful reflections and light and dark textures. Acrylic on 24x30 gallery wrap canvas.
